Obituary for VIZCAINO

Esther L. Vizcaino, 89, passed away at her residence in Thousand Oaks, CA, after suffering a stroke. She was born in Globe, AZ, on May 19, 1917, moving to Albuquerque after her parents' death in 1924, always calling Albuquerque her home. She is survived by three siblings, Elvira Wallace, Arthur Lopez, and Helen Armijo; three children, Maria Elena and husband, Rick Taylor, Rick Vizcaino, Carlos Vizcaino and wife, Kathy; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; neices and nephews. She devoted many years of service to Albuquerque Academy as administrative secretary, and always emphasized the importance of education. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Lopez; her son, Buddy; and husband, Henry. We have lost a great lady and heaven has gained a saint. She will be missed by all who knew her and remembered for her kindness, love, and generosity. Rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. followed by Liturgical Services on Saturday, January 27, 2007, at 11 o'clock a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church Chapel, 5415 Fortuna Road, NW. Pallbearers are grandchildren Alessandra, Gavin, Eric, and Maya. She will be laid to rest with her husband Henry at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd., NE. Following internment there will be a luncheon in her honor at 2703 Fantozzi Road, SW. Call Carlos at (505) 259-6354 for directions.
