Donald W. Reidenbaugh 1933-2007 Donald W. Reidenbaugh passed away at home in Albuquerque, January 21, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Donald was born October 1, 1933 in Lititz, PA to Roy and Helen Reidenbaugh. He graduated from Lititz High School in 1951. He acquired a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, the President of Skull & Bones, and was a member of Lion's Paw. He pursued Graduate Studies at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Cambridge, MA, and was an Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. Donald founded Reidenbaugh Hufford Associates in 1963. With over 40 years of experience in architectural engineering, real estate planning, and the design and construction processes, he authored acquisition due diligence opinions for more than 500 major commercial sales transactions involving more than 1,700 buildings located throughout the United States. His background included the executive management of architectural and engineering design and construction projects for major retail centers and high-rise office buildings. In addition, Donald was recognized nationally as a forensic expert on standard of care legal issues related to the performance of design, construction and real estate professionals. Donald enjoyed his life by traveling, backpacking, flying his own aircraft, skiing, sailing, and in later life, designing and building a home on his ranch in Abiquiu. He was an avid reader and also enjoyed working with his grandchildren in his workshop and taking them for ATV rides. He is survived by his wife, Colleen, whom he met and married at Penn State 50 years ago; son, Andrew and his daughter, Megan of Venice, CA; son, David of Albuquerque, NM; son, Jim and his wife, Kathy and their sons, Dietrich and Ian of Boise, ID; sister, Janet and her husband, Bob Reiner of Sierra Vista, AZ; Peggy Reidenbaugh, widow of his late brother, Bob Reidenbaugh from Lititz, PA; and his beloved Great Dane, Skidmore. Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, 314 Lead S.W. in Albuquerque at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2007. Don was a member of Valley View Methodist Church in Espanola, N.M.
