Harriet C. Neely, 93, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at her home. She was born October 5, 1913 in Miccosukee, FL to Lawrence and Hattie Connor. She married Lester V. Neely on February 26, 1949. He preceded her in death in July 22, 1988 after 39 years of marriage. Mrs. Neely was a member of Central United Methodist Church. She enjoyed china painting, cooking, flower, and vegetable gardening and her beloved cats "Princess, Mama and Tiger." She is survived by her sons, Michael A. Neely of Albuquerque and Sydney Haynes and wife, June of Albany, GA; grandchildren, Jessica Neely and Dylan Neely, both of Albuquerque, and Kem Haynes of GA; great-granddaughter, Whitney; and daughter-in-law, Doreen Holmes of Bayfield, CO. Services will be held Monday, January 29, 2007, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Sunday, January 28, 2007, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Hospice Inpatient Fund, 1700 Louisiana NE, Suite 320, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
