Obituary for GONZALES

Manuel Ray Gonzales, Sr., age 73, a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and lifetime resident of Albuquerque went home to the Lord on January 23, 2007. He was a master tile setter who took great pride in his work. He worked on numerous public buildings and residences throughout New Mexico. Manuel was a grateful member of AA for 42 years and served as an example to many others. Manuel is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Della; daughters and their husbands, Susan and Jerry, Victoria and Dean; sons and their wives, Manuel, Jr. and Yolanda, Frank and Cindy. He is also survived by grandchildren, Jaqueline, John, Anthony S., Jennifer, Andrew, Ema, Alex, Chad, Anthony R., and Francisco; great-grandchildren, Cedrick, Samuel, Raistlynn, and Malachi. He is also survived by two brothers; four sisters; nephews; nieces; cousins; and many friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Rosary will be held Thursday, January 25, 2007, 7:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE. Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 26, 2007, 9:00 a.m. at Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Road NE. Pallbearers will be John Biesterveld, Scott Benavidez, Chris Anaya, Henry Anaya, Jr., Von Mendoza, Elizabeth Valasquez. Honorary pallbearers will be Serafin Padilla, Manuel Padilla, Henry Anaya Sr., and Raymond Benavidez. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
