Mary Alice Peterson, 84, a resident of Albuquerque for the past six years, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2007. Mary Alice was born February 9, 1922 the daughter of William Duncan and Elizabeth Nowlin Webb in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She had lived in Jemez Springs for 35 years before moving to Albuquerque. Mary Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy R. Peterson in 2002. She is survived by three children, Larry R. and wife Debi Peterson of Denver, CO, Woody Peterson of Bonney Lake, WA, and Dena Statkus and husband Robert of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren; one brother, Edward Webb of California; and two sisters, Ruth Thacker of Texas, and Beth Medlin of Oklahoma. A Memorial Service will be held for Mary Alice on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Jemez Springs Presbyterian Church, Highway 4, Jemez Springs, NM, with Pastor David Whiteley officiating. Mary Alice will be laid to rest with her husband Pete in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
