Obituary for SIMPSON

William (Bill) Simpson, 58, of Los Lunas, passed away of cancer on December 29, 2006 after a long and hard fight. Bill was a decorated VN vet with 24 years of service in the USAF. Bill was a conventional and nuclear weapons aircraft bomb loader and munitions storage manager while in the Air Force. Bill retired from the USAF in 1990 as a Chief Master Sergeant and worked for Wackenhut Services on KAFB for 14 years as Federal Property Manager where he was responsible for thousands of firearms for DOE. Bill was a nationally recognized and Certified Property Manager. Bill loved firearms and his dogs and loved to play Internet Pinochle. A loving husband, devoted father and good friend to many, he is survived by his wife of 24 years, I Man of Los Lunas; his daughter, Jenny of San Diego; plus one brother; and three sisters. Bill's ashes will be interred at the National Military Cemetery in Santa Fe in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Cancer Society.
