Obituary for PHILLIPS

Orlan Nathan Phillips, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2007. Nathan was born on March 21, 1922. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Phillips; children, Nathan and wife, Vivian Phillips, and Agata Barteau, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Nathan (Melanie) Phillips, Melinda (Adam) Robrahn, Judy (Jason) Baskerville; Matthew Radley; great-grandson, Caleb Joel Robrahn. He is also survived by two sisters and several nieces and nephews. When WWII rang its bell, Dad answered the call. He served with the 76th Recon Division as an M-8 armored car driver. He was at the Battle of the Bulge, and he was there when U.S. forces crossed the Rhine into Germany. He retired in 1982 from ABF Trucking. He was a member of Teamsters Local #492, Moose Lodge #1517, and a life member of VFW Post 401. Services will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2007, 10:30 a.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE.
