Earl B. Stills, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1986, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2007. Earl was born September 4, 1917 the son of Willis Burt and Mary Emmaline Stills in Dry Fork, AR. He retired in 1975 with the Carpenter's Union of Southern California after 40 years. His favorite past-times since retirement were gardening and building china cabinets and cedar chests for his family and friends. He was a member and Deacon of the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Rio Rancho for the past 20 years. Earl was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, William Burt Stills; great-granddaughter, Chloe Chenoa Marcum; brother, Doyle Stills; and sisters, Lillie and Lorene Miller. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Annis Marie Stills; children, James and Linda Stills of Imperial, CA, LaVonne and Ron Babcock of Arlington, WA, Carolyn and Dan Marcum of Albuquerque, NM, and Rick Stills of Vacaville, CA; brother, Tom Stills; and sisters, Willie Andrews and Mary Gaither; also 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 15, 2007 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with the Service on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gospel Light Baptist Church, 1500 Southern Blvd. SE, Rio Rancho with Pastor Brent Lenentine officiating.
