Ruby Leona Smith, 91, a resident of Albuquerque for 21 years, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2007 in Plano, Texas. Ruby was born December 10, 1915 the daughter of James and Susan Simon in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Her family moved to Yeso, New Mexico while she was a child. She met and married Frankie Smith in 1931 and raised her family in Yeso. Ruby had been a school bus driver in Yeso for 25 years before retiring, and moving to Albuquerque. Ruby was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frankie in 1989. She is survived by five children, Bob Smith and wife, Shirley of Albuquerque, Don Smith and wife, Sharon of Richardson, TX, Wanda Walsh and husband, Gary of Sheridan, WY, Donna Clute of Albuqerque, and Gary Smith and wife, Edie of Newbern, TN; 13 grandchildren, Ron Smith, Greg Smith, Dennis Smith, Shauna Ford, Shane Smith, Chris Walsh, Cindy Swanson, Amy Zisette, Steve Townsend, Tim Townsend, Zach Smith, Eric Smith and Victoria Shaner; twenty seven Great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. The Visitation will be held for Ruby on Monday, January 8, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services at Vista Verde, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Service will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara RD. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho.
