George Yelenovsky, 83, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 26 years, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2007. George was born May 1, 1923 the son of Joseph and Susan Minarich Yelenovsky, Sr. in Bayonne, NJ. He served in WW II as a Radar Specialist with the United States Navy. George enjoyed all sports: soccer, basketball, softball, and bowling. When he was younger, he played in all these sports. George is survived by his wife of 26 years, Valentina Yelenovsky of Rio Rancho; and one brother, Charles Yelenovsky of Springville, PA. The Visitation for George will be held this evening, Friday, January 5, 2007 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services at Vista Verde, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services at Vista Verde. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park.
