CLARA HENRIETTA Mrs. Clara Henrietta (Etta) Smylie, 90, born in New York City, New York on July 31, 1916, and a resident of Albuquerque passed away on December 26, 2006. Mrs. Smylie is survived by one son, Thomas Smylie and wife, Cherie; one daughter, Susan Chavez and husband, Don; four grandchildren, Thomas Marvin Smylie Jr., Kathleen Phillips, Sean Chavez and Jamie Smylie; two great-grandchildren, Thomas Smylie III and Alicia Smylie; several nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Smylie was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin in l992 and all five of her siblings. A Committal Service will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Foundation, 8300 Constitution NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110 or to the Animal Humane Society, 615 Virginia SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
