Taft Roberts Jr., born September 5, 1935, was called to be with God on December 25, 2006. Birth place Upshur County, Gilmer, TX. Graduate from Bruce High School, Gilmer, TX. Parents, Taft Roberts Sr. and Armatha Granville Roberts preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Melinda Washington and son-in-law, Clarence Washington Jr.; grandchildren, Marcus and Tehya Washington of Edmond, OK; sister, Christell B. Ward and brother-in-law, Clifford Ward of Tyler, TX; brother, Waymond J. Roberts of Carlsbad, TX; aunt, Ruby Granville of Gilmer, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
