Obituary for RICE

Barbara "Betty" Rice, born on June 16, 1927 and a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away suddenly on Christmas Day, Monday, December 25, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Rice in 1983. Betty is survived by her niece, Becky Jensen and husband, Stan of Elko, NV; nephew, Mike Rice and wife, Linda of Showlow, AZ; two great-nieces, Sherry and Danna; one great-nephew, Jimmyjohn; and six great-great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her "adopted" family: best friend of 50 years, Edith Cabaniss of Albuquerque; daughters, Linda Cabaniss of Albuquerque, Barbara Jenks and husband, David of San Jose, CA; "granddaughter," Stephanie Rogers-Jenks of San Jose, CA; and many, many friends. Betty will be missed dearly by all who knew her for the lovely person that she was. She leaves behind unnumbered wonderful memories that we will never forget. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2007, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary on Tuesday, January 2, 2007, from 10:00 to 11:00, one hour prior to Services. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
