Dolores (Dee) Halper, of Albuquerque, NM, entered into rest with our Dear Lord on December 26, 2006, at the age of 73. Dee was born in Las Vegas, NM, on March 8, 1933, and was preceded into death by her parents, Ernesto and Eumelia Griego; and her two sisters, Agnes Vigil and Lucy Mascarenas. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Charles H. Halper; daughter, Kathryn and husband, Tony Medley of Albuquerque, NM; grandson, Michael and wife, Jolyn Medley; great-grandchildren, Mikelle, Jared, Justin, and Matthew Medley, all of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughter, Jennifer and husband, Cesar Rivera; great-grandson, Miqueas Rivera of Phoenix, AZ; step-children, Charles Halper and wife, Arlene of Poway, CA, David Halper of Leucadia, CA, John Halper of Del Mar, CA, Charlene Halper of San Diego, CA, Mark Halper of Albuquerque, NM, Eric Halper and wife, Hermie of San Diego, CA; step-grandchildren, Elisa and Erica Halper and Dylan Dias of San Diego, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. A strong and caring person, she will be remembered by the many lives she touched in her nursing career with the gentle art of caring. She will be missed by family and friends in the hearts she touched. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, December 29, 2006, with Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The family wishes to express their profound appreciation for your love and support of Dee throughout the years. The family also wishes to thank her Primary Care Physician, Dr. Mary Hill-Matthews for all of her loving care, all of the staff of Vista Care Hospice for their care and support, and French Mortuary, Inc. 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, for their compassion, respect and thoughtfulness. The family wishes to thank family and friends who braved the inclement weather to attend the ceremonies and wish to thank you for your prayers, thoughtfulness, food, cards, flowers and donations made to Make a Wish Foundation of NM in honor of Justin Medley, her great-grandson.
