Frances C. Williams, our beloved and devoted mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, December 18, 2006. She was born on March 22, 1923 to the late Eugene Thornton and Nora McElroy Thornton in Gadsden, AL. Frances moved to Albuquerque in 1987 with her husband of 46 years, Thomas Williams, Jr. who preceded her in death in 1989. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Beulah Pryor and Marjorie Thornton; her beloved sons, Thomas Williams III and Gary Williams; brother, James Thornton. Frances formerly resided in Toledo, OH for 40 years where she was a member of the Third Baptist Church and she had worked for 30 years as a licensed cosmetologist. She was co-owner and manager of A & M Beauty Salon. Cherishing her memory are a loving son, Terry Ray Williams of Toledo, OH; daughters, Toni Kirby and husband, Darrell of Albuquerque; Tina Williams and her partner, Jerry Peoples of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Darian Thomas Kirby and wife, Mia Kirby, Danan Michael Kirby, Dia Telamari Kirby, Jermaine Thomas Williams Peoples, Janelle Renee Williams Peoples; her only niece, Gloria Jackson of Toledo, OH; nephews, Larry Williams of Toledo, OH, and Jimmie Thornton of CA, and Ralph Thornton of Toledo, OH. Cremation has taken place and Graveside Services for her cremated remains will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday December 22, 2006 at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
