Pedro Martinez, age 86 and a resident of Albuquerque for 60 years, died Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at his home following an illness. Mr. Martinez is survived by two daughters, Nora Bennett and husband, Mark of PN, Gloria Martinez of Albuquerque; three sons, Pedro Martinez Jr. and wife, Judy of CA, Albert Martinez of Albuquerque, and Felix Martinez and wife, Joyce of Albuquerque; three brothers, Florentino Martinez, Frank Martinez, and Lupe Martinez, all of Texas; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose in 1998 and his daughter, Josephine in 1997. Mr. Martinez was a member of Holy Child Catholic Church in Carnuel, a veteran of WWII, and a member of the D.A.V. and V.F.W. Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday December 21, 2006 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 7:00 a.m. on Friday December 22, 2006 in Holy Child Catholic Church, Tijeras.
