Ruth C. Williams, 84, passed away on December 16, 2006. Ruth was born in Raton, NM, February 24, 1922. She was a resident on Albuquerque since 1978. Ruth was a member of Saint John's United Methodist Church of Albuquerque. She was also owner of Nifty Needle in Albuquerque for many years. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Howard D. Williams, in 1973. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Jordan and husband James of New Mexico, and Deborah Schalles of Lubbock, TX; two sons, Gary Williams and wife Kathie, and Dennis Williams and wife Mary, all of New Mexico. Ruth is also survived by one sister Mary Lu Pond; two nephews, Eugene Gonzales and Larry Pond, all of New Mexico; and six grandchildren, Jason Williams, Jerry Williams, Jennifer Williams, Ricky Williams, and Keith Jordan, all of New Mexico, and Ryan Schalles of Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2006 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary, burial to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions are to be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Research Dept, 1332 N. Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60622.
