Obituary for SMEDLEY

Lucille Victor-Smedley, 87, a resident of Rio Rancho and the Albuquerque area most of her life , passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2006. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile, Yucca Temple #74; and Past Captain of their Patrol; and Order of the Eastern Star, San Marcial Chapter. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and her animals, including Lucy and Snickels. She loved life and was blessed with many friends. Lucille was an avid golfer and sports fan. Her favorite sports team was the Cibola High School Softball Team. She was preceded in death by her first husband, of 27 years, Glenn Victor and her second husband of 20 years, Glenn Smedley. Lucille is survived by her son, Gene W. Victor and wife Eve of Corrales, NM; daughter, Glenda Rowland of Rio Rancho; four grandchildren, Dwayne Victor and wife Amy; Darin Victor and wife Deanna; Brian Victor and wife Audrey; and Caisa Franklin and husband Jason; and eight great grandchildren; Tawnya Rowland; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with the Service at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2006 in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Victor, Darin Victor, Brian Victor, Jason Franklin, Wayne Tucker, and Victor Colvard.
