Obituary for TORREZ

Elizardo (Eddie) Torrez, 82, passed into the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ on Monday December 11, 2006. Eddie was a member and cruzista at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Albuquerque and a volunteer at the North Valley Senior Center. He worked as an auto upholsterer at Radar Awning most of his life and was a private in the Army during WWII. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Nea; his sons, George and wife, Lily, David and wife, MaryAnn; his daughters, Gloria and husband, Danny Garcia, Hope and husband, David Ruiz; his 15 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; his brother, Jerry and wife, Anita; his sisters, Melecia and husband, Tony, Lita and husband, Richard, Eloida and husband, Jim, Margarita and husband, Genaro, Begnina and husband, Fidel; his sisters-in-law, Isabel and Eloida; and brother-in-law, Bob; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Eddie John; his parents, Doroteo and Felicitas; brothers, Elmer and Abedon; and his sister, Madia. Visitations will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2006 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the Eighth Street Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services-Garcia Mortuary, with a Rosary to follow at. 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish located at 1860 Griegos Rd. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, time to be announced, with internment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Patrick Garcia, Inez Torrez, David (Neo) Torrez, Orlando Ruiz, Annette Torrez, and Paul Torrez. Honorary pallbearers will be; Lillian Torrez, Samantha Torrez, Amber Torrez, Michael Flores, Joseph Torrez, Eddie Jay Torrez, Julie Morales, Alicia Ruiz, and Marco Torrez.
