Obituary for VOGEL

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Monday December 11, 2006

Michael David Vogel passed away on Friday, December 1st, 2006. His health had been on a steady decline in recent years. Although ailing, he remained active in his many interests, right to the end. He will be most remembered as a man of principle, who loved his family above all else. Anybody who knew him, recognized him to be an extremely willful and intelligent man. He was also a sensitive and perceptive artist, a fly-fisherman, a life-long mason, and a man of his word. Even as an adopted child, Mike's family, his memory, and legacy, will carry on through all of the lives he has touched. He is survived by his wife, Alice; his children, Guy, Mary, Joshua, and Alicia; his son-in-law, Ed Potthoff Jr.; his grandchildren, Catherine Rose "Katie" and Andrew William Potthoff; his in-laws, Ed and Sieglinde Potthoff; his brother, Wayne Wright and wife, Patty; along with their children, Tim Wright, and Nate Wright and wife, Crissy; as well as their children, Guy, Riley, Gary, and Natalie; an uncle; aunts; several cousins; brother-in-law, Stuart and wife, Julie; along with their children, Amy Aldrete and husband, Horacio; including their children, Analisa, Isabella and Stuart Horacio; Hope Trigg and husband, Matt; including their children, Tayler Rose and McCarley; his extended family at his "coffee spots" and in the legal community, as well as Alice's friends and colleagues. Thank you, to all, for your love and support. We are very grateful also to the Heart Hospital. The kind, caring, knowledgeable, and professional actions, made his passing all the more bearable.
