Hale P. Faris, 90, an Albuquerque resident since 1995, died Monday, December 4, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn M. Faris of Albuquerque; sons, H. Paul Faris, Jr., Brooks B. Faris, Scott Faris, and Craig P. Walton; daughters, Sandra E. Martin, of Albuquerque, Linda Lee Faris, and Lisa Dantos; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, James E. Faris. Mr. Faris was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII where he served in the China-Burma-India Theater as a communications officer. While living in California, Hale was an amateur radio operator, his call number was K6DFY. He was an avid golfer and was formerly a member of Four Hills Country Club in Albuquerque and Pasa Tiempo Country Club in Northern California. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 11, 2006 at Sunrise Assisted Living Center, 4910 Tramway Blvd. NE. Private interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 90790, Albuquerque, NM 87199-0790.
