Jose Elias N. Unale, 53, a resident of Bernalillo, passed away on December 4, 2006. Mr. Unale is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Evelyn; two sons, Elias Unale and fiancee, Jennifer, and Ernesto Unale; two grandchildren, Mariah Unale and Elias Unale Jr.; his mother, Rafelita P. Unale; his sister, Dolores Vargas and husband, Francisco; his mother-in-law, Amalia Gallegos; his aunt, Martha Perez; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Unale was preceded in death by his father, Pedro B. Unale; his brother, Pete Unale Jr.; and his sisters, Mary Agnes Delgado and Martha Chavez. Mr. Unale was a member of the Catholic Church, a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam Conflict. Visitation will be Thursday evening in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Friday at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 Camino de Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM from 7:30 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 8:00 a.m. by Father Virgil Farfuro. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. with Military Honors. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Marquez, Jason Gutierrez, Henry Cervantes, Ernest Gallegos, Phillip Gallegos, and Milton Gallegos. Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur Perez, Alex Perez, James Chavez, Ruben Gallegos, Anthony Unale, and Marcelino Cervantes. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW 243-7861
