Robert (Sarg) Garcia, born June 12, 1917, died on November 8, 2006. Veteran of World War Two, he served in the Phillipines, was in the Bataan March, received the Purple Heart, two Bronze Star Medals. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eva Garcia. They had one son, Robert Ernest Garcia, a Vietnam Veteran who predeceased him in death; two grandchildren, Ernie Garcia and Jason Garcia; and six great-grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service held for Robert (Sarge) Garcia on December 7, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Destiny Church of Albuquerque, located at 5300 2nd St. NW. Arrangements were handled by Direct Burial Service, 2919 4th St. NW.
