Joe F. Harris, 71, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, November 22, 2006. His father Ellis Harris, mother, Hattie Harris, four brothers, and two sisters preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Albuquerque High school and TVI Community College. He was a member of Phillips Chapel CME Church. He served on the usher board, was a past trustee and the church's custodian. Mr. Harris was well known in the community for his flower arrangements and his visitations with sick and shut-ins. He is survived by his brothers, Phillip Harris and wife, Bertha, Charles Harris and wife, Peggy, all of Albuquerque, Albert Harris and wife, Julia of Aurora, CO; sister, Mildred Seelson and husband, Sterling of Albuquerque; longtime friends, Ervin McBride, Hobart and Gertrude Boyer, and Viola Gooden, all of Albuquerque; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2006, 11:00 a.m., at Phillips Chapel CME Church, 1401 Edith Blvd. SE.
