Obituary for LAMAR

HENRY C. JR. Lt. Col Henry C. Lamar Jr., 84, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away November 14, 2006 at his home with longtime friend and companion, Caroline Ferryman at his side. He is survived by his son, David Lamar and wife, Karen; grandchildren, Kirby and Carson of Littleton, CO; and his beloved dachshund Angel. Mr. Lamar was born August 12, 1922 in Rosebud, TX, the son of Opal and Henry C. Lamar Sr. After graduating from High School he attended Texas A&M College where he earned his degree in Agriculture. He was a veteran pilot of the U.S. Army 9th Armoured Division during WWII in Europe and later served in Korea. He was integral in the introduction and use of the M.A.S.H. helicopter program in Korea. Mr. Lamar retired from the Army with many honors and decorations in 1965. Graveside Services and interment will take place at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.
