George Kvanvik, 77, a resident of Albuquerque, died November 16, 2006 after a long illness. He was born August 21, 1929 in Norway. George left behind a place in our hearts that cannot be filled. Life as we know can never be the same without him. Everyone who knew him dearly loved him. George was a proud American who retired as a carpenter with 25 years in the Carpenters Union. He also was a lifetime member of the American Legion. He is survived by Tomasita Gianessi, Mr. & Mrs. Bob Graham and Chelsey, Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Fajardo; daughters, Linda Dautel and Cindy Di Giovanni and husband, Louie; grandchildren, Jack, Annalisa, Cindy, Katherine, Scott, Lauren, Nicholas, Kelsy; great-grandchildren, Brittney and Patrick. George was also a beloved member of the Sanchez Family. Services will be held at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE, on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. with interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
