Harriett Sass Cole, age 84, died peacefully in her home in Albuquerque on November 8, 2006. She came from Chicago to Los Alamos in 1945 with her husband, Edward J. Sass. They were both employed by the Los Alamos Labs until retirement. Harriett is survived by three sisters; her former husband, Theodore R. Cole; three daughters: Patricia and Carol Sass and Marie Trujillo; three grandchildren: Marc Trujillo, Michael Usner and Molly Losh; as well as a great-grandaughter, Ava Usner. She had a lively interest in arts, crafts, volunteerism, gardening, and her pets. She will be loved and missed more than words can say. Burial will be in a private ceremony at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos, NM. Her request, in lieu of flowers, is that donations be made to the local Animal Humane Society.
