Thomas Everett Barnhill, 17, a resident of Edgewood, NM passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at the University of New Mexico Hospital. Thomas was born on April 15, 1989 to Curtis and Isabel Barnhill in Albuquerque. He has been a resident of Edgewood since he was two years old. Thomas loved to hang around with his buddies, skateboard, play the drums and guitar. Thomas was a proud member of the Moriarty Varsity Basketball team. He was an excellent artist that loved to sketch. Thomas' favorite teams are the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Cowboys. His father proudly stated that Thomas was a very responsible child who always got his chores done and was very helpful to the family. Prior to his illness, Thomas was employed by Smith's Grocery Store. Thomas is survived by his parents, Curtis and Isabel Barnhill of Edgewood; and Marian DeLong of New York, NY; his brothers, Curtis, Jared and Jon; his sister, Rhonda; his grandparents, Toni Villanueva and Maria and Guadalupe Marquez; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his best friends, Alyssa Pena and James Rochelle, and many other friends who loved him very much. A visitation and Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2006 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services. The Rosary will be recited on Sunday, November 19, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 85 Highway 344 in Edgewood, NM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 20, 2006 at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Thomas will be laid to rest at Mountain Valley Cemetery, also, in Edgewood.
