Robert J. Valencia, age 53, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and Godfather, passed away unexpectedly as a result of an accident, Wednesday, November 1, 2006. Robert was a resident of Albuquerque; and a member of the Catholic Church. He was employed with La Farge for 15 years. Robert was a proud United States Air Force Veteran who served his country during the Viet Nam War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing; many considered Robert to be an avid outdoors man. Robert will always be remembered as a kind, loving and very personable man. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Valencia; and sister, Wanda Valencia. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Stella Valencia of the family home; his son, John Kelly Valencia and wife, Marcie; two daughters, Deseree and Stephanie Valencia; his grandchildren, John Robert Valencia, Veronica and Sabrina Sandoval; his mother, Lillian Valencia; two brothers, Kenny Valencia and wife, Gloria, Jeff Valencia and wife, Annette; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends. Visitations will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 9:00 a.m. also at the Church. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Valencia Jr., Juan Montano, Dan Martinez, Joe Ortega, Abel Garcia and Angel Alvarado. Honorary bearers will be Angel Alvarado Jr., Charlie Pena, and Paul Abeyta.
