Carol Duran was born February 12, 1951 in Albuquerque, NM. She passed away tragically, Wednesday, November 1, 2006. Carol loved spending her free time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook. Carol will be missed dearly and she was a devoted "Nanny" to her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Ray Duran; three children, Darlene Coleman and husband, Jason, Matthew Gutierrez and wife, Darline, Greg Gutierrez and wife, Rachelle; father, Kelly Tenorio; eight grandchildren, Andrew, Ashley, Amber, Austin, Brooke, Gabriel, Gregory, and Christian; sisters, Mary Frances, Gloria, Cathy, Carmella, and Janice; brothers, Kelly, Patrick, and Rick; nieces and nephews, Sharlene, Juanita, Collett, Nicole, Andre, Cicely, Crissy, Mariam, Stevie, Marty, Phillip, Fredrick, Julio, Juan, Eloy; and many, many more; aunts, Stella and Della. Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Pacheco. We all love you very much and we will miss you always. A Memorial Service will be held at the Los Vecinos Community Center, 478 1/2 Old Highway 66 in Tijeras Canyon, across from the Tijeras Post Office, on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 12:30 p.m. The Graveside Service will then take place at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery in Albuquerque, 700 Yale Blvd. SE, at 3:00 p.m. A Dinner Reception will follow back at the Los Vecinos Community Center from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Funds have been set up in the name of Carol Duran Memorial Service, at Kirtland Federal Credit Union and at Bank of the West.
