James Bagi (Jay), 43, beloved son and brother, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2006 in San Francisco, CA. Jay was born April 8, 1963 at Presbyterian Hospital to Mary Ann and Gus Bagi. He grew up playing on the mesas and in the arroyos around Albuquerque. Always with an interest in cooking, Jay began developing his talents as a chef locally. While living in San Francisco, he had a successful career at well known restaurants. Eventually, Jay opened his own restaurant in the city. Despite the difficulties of a protracted illness, he continued to grow, learn, and love. He met his death with grace and dignity. Jay will be missed.
