John "Doc" Richard Flowers, 69, of Casa Grande, AZ, passed away October 20, 2006 in Casa Grande. He was born February 4, 1937, at Oklahoma City, OK. He was a physician's assistant. He had a great love of Mustangs and was active in several car clubs. He served in the Army as a CW02 during the Vietnam War. His military career spanned over 26 years, and his awards and recognition for his continuous service is on display at the Casa Grande Valley Historical Society Museum. He also was the executive council member for American Division Veterans Association. He was a Board member for the University of New Mexico and his sense of humor will be missed. Graveside Memorial Services will be held Monday, October 30, 2006, at National Memorial Cemetery of Phoenix, in Phoenix, AZ, at 1 p.m. Chaplain Darrell Jackson will officiate. "Doc" is survived by: his wife: Lily Flowers; three sons:Max (and Maria) Flowers of Harbor City, CA, Martin Flowers of Brooklyn, NY,David (and Amber) Flowers of Columbia, SC; one daughter: Lisa (and Tony) Espinosa of Chandler, AZ; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his father, Andrew Johnson Flowers, and a cousin, Jeannine Mikeska Nee Suddeth. Arrangements are being handled by: J. Warren Funeral Services Cole and Maud The Gardens Chapel
