James E. McCreight "Mr. Wonderful", 76, an Albuquerque resident since 1956, died Saturday, October 21, 2006. He is survived by his daughter, Penny McCreight-Garcia and husband, Vince of Albuquerque; grandsons, Victor Johnson and Kevin Garcia, both of Albuquerque; his companion, Ritchie Griffith-McCreight of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene McCreight; brother Robert Dean McCreight; and his parents, Virgil and Bessie Mae McCreight. Mr. McCreight was a veteran of the US Navy, and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Society for Quality Control, American Legion Post 14, VFW Post 461, the Coronado Club, Kirtland AFB Officers Club, Fleet Reserve # 200 and the Toastmasters. Jim was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Jim's life will be held at 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 27, 2006 at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd Chapel.
