Ronald L. Reynolds Sr. "PaPo Ron". God saw he was getting tired, put His arms around him and whispered "Come with Me". God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. Ron was born in Battle Creek, MI, May 13, 1942. He went to heaven Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at the age of 64. He will be deeply missed but he is in a better place, fishing and catching those big bass. Ron is survived by his wife, Nancy; one daughter, Patti Joe Smith; three sons, Ronald L. Jr., Donald and wife, Donna, Gregory and wife, Michelle Reynolds; one stepson, Robert Quintana; ten grandchildren, Jessie and Heather Smith, Taylor, Haley, Justin, Brandon, and Amber Reynolds, Bernadette, Adrianna, and Gabriel Quintana. Ron will be missed by his best friend, fishing buddy and compadre, George Sherill and wife, Marilyn. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and he loved fishing and hunting. Ron was a member of the Duke City Bass Bums and a member of the American Legion Post 14. He attended UNM and graduated with a degree in Professional Mapping. Ron retired from the U.S. Postal Service and went back to work for Sed Labs. Our thanks to Arturo De Vargas and wife, Rosie for driving him to most of his doctors visits and for all of their long talks about anything and everything. A Memorial Service will be held at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE., on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. with U.S. Army Honors.
