Obituary for JARAMILLO

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Tuesday October 03, 2006

Julian James Jaramillo, age 54, was taken up into the arms of God on the afternoon of Friday, September 22, 2006. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jerri Jaramillo; and his father, Julian Jaramillo. He is survived by his loving wife, Paula; his brother, Tony Mondragon; and his mother, Belle Mondragon; who were all at his side when he peacefully left this world. He is also survived by his father, Roberto Mondragon; his two children, Danielle and Julian Jr.; and many loving nephews, and nieces. Julian worked both in the corporate world, and had owned several restaurants. He most recently worked for Santa Fe County Bureau of Elections. The one thread, other than his beloved children, that tied his life together was his two arts, painting and cooking. Julian could take mere leftovers out of the fridge and make a gourmet meal in minutes! When he was not cooking, he was painting small, intimate landscapes of his home state, New Mexico. Julian was a great man, and he will be greatly missed by his loving family. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the St Bede's Episcopal Church; 1601 S. Saint Francis Dr. Santa Fe, NM. Services are entrusted to: La Paloma Funeral Home 1424 4th Street Santa Fe, NM 87505 (505) 983-2555 www.LaPalomaFuneralHome.com
