Bernice Marie Sanders, 88, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2006. She is survived by her nephew, Carlton Pearl; her sister-in-law, Ellouise Pearl; her step-daughters, Carol Baldwin and Jimmie Landers; and six grandchildren. Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Sanders; her parents, George and Virgie Pearl; and her brothers, Lewis C. and George C. Pearl. She retired from Sandia National Laboratories after 30 years of service and devoted her time to volunteer work with babies at Presbyterian Hospital in her retired years. Services will be held Thursday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery in Belen.
