Dennis C., 75, a 50 year resident of Albuquerque, entered the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, September 22, 2006 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Becky Cordova; his children, Katherine Baca and husband Randy, Alex Cordova and wife Tania, Linda Slezak, Martin Cordova and Maria Barber and husband James; grandchildren, Christopher and Jared, Carli and Brandi, and Peter and Steven; his siblings, Mary Sanchez and husband Desi, Nellie Montoya and husband Orie, Rey Cordova and wife Mary Ann, Vera DeeWeese and husband Jerry and Jeanette Nelson; father-in-law, Ysidro McKinley; sister-in-law, Dora Sanchez and husband Celso; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Dennis retired from Sandia National Labs after 33 years; worked for eight years with Parks & Recreation at the City of Albuquerque; was a high school basketball and football official for 38 years; and was inducted into the NMAA Officials Hall of Fame in 1999. Visitation will be Monday, September 25, 2006, 4:00 p.m., until the rosary. Rosary will be recited, Monday, 6:00 p.m., French Mortuary Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, September 26, 2006, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Tennessee at Lomas. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd., NE. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Joy Junction, 4500 2nd St., SW, Albuquerque 87105.
