Lola Sena, age 92, beloved mother and grandmother, was called to her heavenly home by the Lord, Monday, September 18, 2006. She was a lifelong resident of Alameda, and a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, where she was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society. Lola was also a member of the Felician Sisters Auxiliary, as well as the Extension Club and Quilters Club; she was a Blue Ribbon recipient for her beautiful quilts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miguel Sena; sons-in-law, Bennie Garcia and Ray Gutierrez; and her beloved grandson, David Garcia whom she raised. Lola is survived by her loving children, Dora Martinez and husband, Polo, Miguel Sena Jr. and wife, Margaret, Jeanette Gutierrez, and Jerry Sena and wife, Linda; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and other family members and a host of friends. Lola will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Visitations will be today (Wednesday) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Sena, Matthew Sena, Michael Sena, Rick Velarde, Derrick Velarde, and Gary Long. At the family request, in lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Heritage Hospice Group, Attn: Ann Strenger, 1700 Louisiana Blvd., NE, suite 320, Albuquerque, NM, 87110.
