Adelina Romero Gallegos was born August 7, 1920 in La Constancia, NM. She passed peacefully into God's protection Sunday morning, September 10, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tiburcio Gallegos; her parents, Luciano and Vitalia Romero; her foster mother, Beatriz Romero; her siblings, Elisandro "Alex" Romero, Jesus Romero, Antonio Romero, and Carmen Romero Guerrera. Adelina is survived by her daughter, Teresita Gallegos Montoya and husband, Evaristo C. Montoya; grandsons, Michael Montoya and Christopher Montoya; her son, Raymond Gallegos; her siblings, Higinio Romero, Fermin Romero, Prudencia Romero Sanchez, Nicario O. Romero, and Clorindo Romero; other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. Cancer may have taken her from us, but we will gather to celebrate our memories of her at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 15, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Private family burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery where she will be interred with her late husband.
