Robert B. Gibson, 81, a resident of Albuquerque for 67 years, died Friday, September 8, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Overa Gibson; sons Don Edwin Gibson and Ida of Albuquerque, David Eugene Gibson and Becky of Lindrith, Stanley Gibson and Pat of Moriarty, Bruce Gibson, and Doyle Gibson and Shirley all of Albuquerque; daughter Sherry Pennington and Tom of Albuquerque; twenty grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; brother Sherman Gibson of Albuquerque; sister Ruth Godsil of Camas, WA; and brother-in-law John Pearce and Margie of Albuquerque. Mr. Gibson owned and operated Robert B. Gibson Auto Sales for over 60 years. He was a charter member and past president of the New Mexico Independent Dealer Association. He was a member of Gideons International for over 20 years. Mr. Gibson was a member of Crossroads of Albuquerque Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will include Robert E. Gibson, Donnie Gibson, Sean Gibson, David Gibson, Kevin Gibson, and Thomas Pennington. Honorary pallbearers are William Gibson, Johnny Gibson, Robert Gibson, and Cole Gibson.
