Bernard Gelfand, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1976, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2006. Bernard was born April 29, 1924, the son of Solomon and Sarah Ginzburg Gelfand in New York City, NY. He had been a land developer with the Horizon Corporation before he retired. Bernard is survived by his wife of 52 years, Harriet, of Albuquerque; one son, Jack Gelfand and wife, Elizabeth of Albuquerque; one sister, Rosalind Ghertner of Nashville, TN; and one grandson, Jakob Gelfand of Albuquerque.
