Joseph A. Lee, Born October 25, 1929 in East Boston, Massachusetts. Joe passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2006 surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Thelma Lee; four children Robert J. Lee and wife Kim of Dothan, Alabama, Laura Bezzeg and husband John of Grants, NM, Mark Lee and wife Connie of Albuquerque, NM and Amy Brigdon and husband Clifton of Trona, California. He took great pride in his 12 grandchildren and particular joy in his six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Lorraine Thibodeau of Malden, Mass, and two brothers, Mitchell Lee of Taunton, Mass and John Lee and his wife Carol of Vacaville, California. Joe was a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and worked at Carlsbad Regional Medical Center (formerly St. Francis Hospital), University of New Mexico Hospital, Lovelace Medical Center and Cibola General Hospital in Grants. He retired in 1994. Joe and Thelma traveled extensively after he retired, and rested between travels encamped on their beloved Xpu-Ha beach in Mexico. One of Joe's greatest joys was to always learn, he loved to read, history was a passion, but his biggest passion was people, he made friends and family everywhere he went. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held later. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donation be made to the March of Dimes.
