Obituary for EGGERS

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Thursday August 31, 2006

Scott Eggers died August 29, 2006 after a nine year struggle with Parkinson's disease. He was 56. After many years as a finish carpenter and then a general contractor in California, Scott made his home in New Mexico and became a Realtor. Using his construction experience, his complex understanding of the market and his commitment to honesty, Scott built a reputation as the guy who could tell you when to buy and when to walk. That reputation and dozens of repeat clients earned him the coveted Elite status in the industry. But what Scott was most proud of were his titles of husband and father. In addition to his commitment to his family, he will always be remembered for his intelligence, whit, and gentle, gentle soul. He is survived by his wife, Janie, and his son, Casey of Albuquerque; his sister, Patsy and mother, Shirley in Washington; his brother, Terry in Idaho; and his aunt, Madge. Friends are invited to a celebration of Scott's life on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at 904 Acequia Escondida NW. (Nearest intersection is Aspen and Rio Grande) He will be buried at the place of his birth, Colfax, Washington. Memorial gifts may be made to APDA New Mexico, 10817 Griffith Park, NE, 87123.
