Robert G. Scharrer, 81, a resident of Albuquerque for 56 years, died Monday, August 28, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; son; Rob Scharrer and wife, Beth; grandchildren, Chris and Patrick; daughter, Lori Pierce and husband, Steven; and grandchildren, Kyle and Ryan, all of Parker, CO; brother, Del Scharrer of Zellwood, FL; and sister, Erna Richards of Colorado Springs, CO. Mr. Scharrer was a member of the Albuquerque Rose Society, the Lobo Club and IEEE. He graduated from the University of Michigan. Mr. Scharrer served in the U.S. Navy and was employed by Sandia National Laboratory. Services will be held Friday, September 1, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary University Chapel with Rich Donaho officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
