Obituary for TEUBER

Ross L. Teuber, 88, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2006 in Sikeston, MO and was born January 28, 1918 in Des Moines, IA, son of Verne L. and Mabel Frances Houghton Teuber. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Drs. Larry R. and Suzanne Teuber of Davis, CA; his daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Ann and Thomas L. Jennings of Sikeston, MO; four granddaughters, Stephanie and Melissa Teuber of Davis, CA and Katherine and Kimberly Jennings of Sikeston, MO. Mr. Teuber graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Forestry, and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. On October 16, 1942, he married Clara Elizabeth Griffith in Ames, IA, she preceded him in death on April 19, 2004. He was also preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. After his retirement in 1978 he did many hours of volunteer work at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge and Sevillita National Wildlife Refuge. Mr. Teuber was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday school, was an usher, and was active in the Emmaus Alumni Group. He was very active in the New Mexico Ornithological Society for many years. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2006, 3:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Rev. Clyde Stanfield of St. John's United Methodist Church officiating.
