Mary Lou Gonzales (Lopez) December 24, 1938 to August 14, 2006 Mary Lou left us for our Heavenly Father on Monday August 14, 2006. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Rosita G. Silva; her sisters, Erlinda Lopez, Veronica C. Mora; and brother, Raymond Lopez. Mary Lou had many accomplishments, but her family gave her the most rewards. She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Leo Gilbert Gonzales; sons, Patrick Daniel Lopez, Ralph Anthony Lopez; daughters, Jaymerose Yolanda Lopez and spouse, Keith Castleberry and Annette L. Gonzales; and grandson, Benecio J. Griego. Also, her father, Joe Ralph Lopez; brothers, Orlando Lopez, Rick Silva, Larry Silva and wife, Fran; sisters, Gloria C. Martinez, Mary T. Sandefur, Rosemary Mayberry and husband, Dale and Henrietta Standing and husband, Jeff; brother-in-law, Orlando E. Gonzales and wife, Maye; and sisters-in-law, V. Bernice Gayet and Sarah DeLorenzo. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive her. Mary Lou was born in Albuquerque in 1938. She has been the owner and operator of "Wigs by Mary Lou" since 1972. Throughout the years, she has made many loyal clients and friends. Mary Lou had a passion for shopping and especially finding "that really good sale". She and Gil enjoyed many road trips, exploring old mines in Colorado. When they visited the Grand Canyon she got out of the car was overwhelmed by the heat and looked at the Grand Canyon and said, when you've seen one canyon you've seen them all. She had a very special place in her heart for her special pets. If there were ever a family celebration, you would know that the event would take place at Gil and Mary Lou's. In celebration of her life, a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 18, 2006, at Reflections Funeral and Life Celebrations, 2400 Washington, NE. A Memorial Service will be held at Reflections on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
