Obituary for GARCIA

Mariano T. Garcia, 59, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on August 11, 2006. Mariano is the beloved husband to Annie O. Garcia married for 35 years. Mariano is also survived by his loving daughters, Annette Lee Chavez and husband, Andrew, Arlinda Thompson and husband, George and Mariana Garcia; by his beloved mother, Victoria Garcia; one sister, Manuela Perales and husband, Manuel; one brother, Andres Garcia and wife, Ramona; seven grandchildren, Reynaldo, Justin, Patrick, Ariel, Vannassa, Mariana-Rae and Soledad; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mariano was preceded in death by his father, Mariano R. Garcia, a sister, Maria Natoli and a grandson, Jordan Mariano Thompson. Mariano was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam Era, a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers, the VFW, the D. A. V. , American Legion and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years. Visitation for Mariano will be Monday evening in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Eulogy to be held at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Tuesday afternoon in the Mt. Calvary Chapel, 1900 Edith NE from 2:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. with a Funeral Service to be held at 2:30 p.m. by Pastor James Johnson. Interment will follow the Funeral Service with Military Honors by the U.S. Army. Pallbearers will be Ivran Hicks, Mike Archuleta, Sr., George Vasquez, Jessie Montoya, Henry Hernandez and Reyes Chavez. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Esquemilla, Alfonso Garcia, Floyd Romero and Claude Herrera. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW 243-7861
