Tony D. Tafoya, 81, went home to be with the Lord on August 8, 2006. He was born November 18, 1924 in Albuquerque, NM. He was a World War II Veteran who proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Our Lady of Assumption since 1954. He was a simple man who had a great love for his family. Tony is survived by his wife, Mollie Tafoya of 59 years; his two sons, Dennis Tafoya and wife, Susan, and Andrew Tafoya; his three daughters, Jeanette E. Wood and husband, Robert C., Lillian Peralta, and Constance Gallegos and husband, Mike; his two brothers, Larry Tafoya and wife, Mary, and Raymond Tafoya and wife, Nancy; his two sisters, Emma Armijo and husband, Fred, and Maryann Fernandez; his ten grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all. Visitations will be held on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the 8th Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday time to be announced. Funeral Services are in the care of: GARCIA MORTUARY 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222
