Willie Mae Scott, 98, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on August 2, 2006. Ms. Scott was born on December 8, 1907 to Warren and Eliza Ryals of Kirbyville, TX. She was a dietary specialist for a tuberculosis hospital in Beaumont, TX. She previously resided in Berkeley and El Cerrito, CA. Ms. Scott will be remembered for her love of children and music. Besides her parents, Ms. Scott was predeceased by both of her husbands, and a son, Woodie L. Rhodes. She is survived by her son, Willie E. Rhodes and his wife, Loraine, of Camp Hill, PA; her daughters, Ruth Ballou and her husband, Jesse, of Albuquerque, Teresia Mason of Sacramento, CA, and Electra Rhodes of Oakland, CA; brothers, Booker T. and George W. Ryals of Beaumont, TX; and sister, Elmer Larry, also of Beaumont, TX; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. The visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options. The Funeral will be held on Friday, August 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2401 University Blvd. SE, with Pastor Michael Sumbry officiating.
