Albert Romero, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away August 7, 2006. He is survived by his sister, Lou Sandoval; niece, Macella Benson; nephews, Tony and Manuel Fuentes; and numerous cousins. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Petrita Romero; sisters, Clara Romero and Isabell Fuentes; and brother, John Romero. He graduated from The University of New Mexico and went on to become a principal for the Albuquerque Public School System where he later retired from. He was an active member of the V.F.W, Phi Delta Kappa, and the Retired Principals Association. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima and loved Lobo sports, especially basketball. A Rosary for Albert will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
